Dame Rose Heilbron achieved another historic milestone in 1985 when she was elected Treasurer of Gray’s Inn, becoming the first woman to head any of England’s four prestigious Inns of Court. This appointment cemented her pioneering legacy, as she was already a celebrated trailblazer, the first woman to be appointed King’s Counsel (QC) and the second to serve as a High Court Judge (appointed in 1974).
